U.S. West Coast ports

Port activity has slowed even further and has nearly reached a gridlock situation. The contract negotiations remain strained according to shipping line and terminal operator representatives.
Union officials however have denied staging slowdowns and have indicated other reasons such as a shortage of tractor-trailer chassis and a number of management errors to explain the increasing congestion.
